A bulb of garlic is composed of cloves, after peeling the clove it can be crushed, minced, sliced, grilled, baked or fried. It can also the consumed raw as in the example of oil and garlic dressings.

Garlic Soup

Garlic Soup

Ingredients - serves 6: 
1 day-old French bread roll, 5 cloves of garlic cut in half, 1 tsp. Paprika,  2 eggs, 5 tsp. Olive oil, 1.5 liters of vegetable broth and salt-to-taste.

Preparation 
Slice the bread into small round pieces, fry them in 4 tsp. of olive oil and set aside. In another pan, place the remaining oil and brown the garlic. Remove the pan from the heat and add paprika. Place the previously fried bread into a saucepan and cover it with the mixture of oil, garlic and paprika; add the vegetable broth and bring to a boil. Add salt and simmer for 15 minutes, beat the eggs and add into the mixture. Serve pipping hot.
