The Greek poet Homer told us in his epic poem, The Odyssey, that Ulisses used garlic to make Circe fall in love with him and thereby freeing him from a sorceress.

The Greeks recommended  garlic tea to clear the voice and heal the flu, colds, coughs, bronchitis and asthma. Hippocrates in his medical  summaries mentioned that garlic vapor was used for the treatment of tumors.

To make garlic more digestive, remove the small green germination inside the clove. To freshen your breath after eating a dish with a lot of garlic, chew some fresh parsley or coffee grains the following day.

Garlic is utilized in cuisine arround the world and is considered indispensable in Chinese, Italian, and Mexican dishes. Garlic is the dried root of Allium Sativum plant, wich belongs to the lily family. Garlic grows as a bulb, comprised of a number of cloves; each clove is protected by a layer of skin and all the cloves are held together by an additional layers of skin.

Garlic has its origin in Central Asia but its use spread across the world more than 5000 years ago, even before recorded history. It was worshipped by the Egyptians and fed to workers who built the Great Pyramid at Gaza, circa 2600 BC.

Garlic is a powerful antibiotic, antiviral and antifungal. It detoxifies the body and works on all the bodily functions, especially the immune system. Garlic purifies the blood, strengthens blood vessels and lowers blood pressure. How to remove the garlic smell  from your hands:

Try rubbing uour hands with a stainless steel spoon under water, using the spoon as soap. This is foolproof! 

To lessen the garlic flavor, peel the clove and then cut in half lengthwise while removing the green germination. Another tip is to use garlic instewed dishes and never over-cry the garlic as i will become uneasy to digest and turn your recipe bitter.
